Currently Sr. Lead, Production Design Manager at Rivian, Ted gained architectural and project management experience at Tesla, Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM), REX, Steven Holl Architects, GLUCK+ and NBBJ; leading and supporting projects ranging in scale from boutique galleries to signature ground-up buildings to large master plans from concept design through construction administration.
As an Associate at OMA, he held Project Architect responsibilities for a 765,000 SF, high-rise residential tower for Related Companies and a 59 acre, 3,760,000 SF, multi-billion dollar mixed-use campus concept master plan for Facebook; as well as contributing to other signature projects scattered throughout the Americas and Asia.
Prior to pursuing a career in architecture, Ted was a Staff Thermal Engineer at IBM, where he was responsible for system thermal design and production sign-off for midrange enterprise servers as a Lead Thermal Engineer.
He holds a Master in Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Minor in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
